Advanced Mode is ideal for users who want full control over the growing process. In this mode, you can manually adjust the light intensity and duration throughout all growth stages, tailoring the lighting conditions to the specific needs of each plant. You can also create your own growth recipes, precisely defining how light and other parameters will be set during different days of the growth cycle. This level of control allows you to experiment and optimize plant growth in a way that works best for you.
Before planting, the device must be properly assembled, which is a very simple process and takes only a few minutes.
Start by placing the bottom part of the device, the water tank, which serves as a reservoir for water and nutrients. Then put the big cover, the top cover with openings for the capsules. Fill the capsules with your chosen medium (coconut tablets, substrate, or a combination) and plant seeds in each capsule. The number of seeds and planting method, whether placed on the surface or sown to a certain depth, depends on the type of plant you want to grow.
Once the capsules are ready, attach the roof, shorter pillar, and pillar with sensor - the sensor monitors temperature and water levels, while the roof provides automated LED lighting according to the plant’s growth. When the device is correctly assembled, plug in GrowBorg, connect it to the mobile app, and start the growing process, enjoying a simple and smart way to grow plants at home.

To ensure plants have optimal growth conditions, it is important to properly prepare the nutrient solution. Prepare the coconut tablets or substrate in the capsules according to the instructions, then add water to the reservoir. GrowBorg comes with blue and red nutrient solutions, which must be added manually to the water in the recommended ratio: three pumps of red and three pumps of blue solution per liter of water. For example, for three liters of water, add nine pumps of red and nine pumps of blue solution. After each water change, add the nutrient solutions again in the same ratio, ensuring plants consistently receive all the essential nutrients for healthy growth.
If using coconut tablets, first remove the cut circle on the top of each tablet, then soak it in water for about one minute to expand. Once swollen, place it in the capsule with the opening facing up and plant the seeds. After planting, close the capsule with the capsule cover and place the transparent cover.
If using substrate, fill the capsules to the top, moisten them with water until slightly damp, and plant the seeds. Finally, close the capsules with the cover capsule and place the see-through capsules.
In both cases, GrowBorg will automatically provide the moisture, light, and nutrients necessary for germination and growth.
To achieve the best results, regularly check the water level in the reservoir and refill it as needed. When the plants start to sprout, remove the transparent covers to provide more space and better air circulation. Monitor their progress daily – the first signs of growth will be visible within just a few days.
